We have embraced a new maths programme across the whole school. It is a very practical way of learning maths. Children work in pairs, use concrete objects to support their learning and discuss their methods of problem solving.
We have found this new and innovative approach to maths and problem solving is having a really positive impact on children’s learning. It’s not just their maths that is improving communication and collaborative work is becoming second nature to the children!
These are just some of the responses:
“I love maths!” Charlie-Lee
“This is really fun!” Ruby
“Team work makes the dream work!” Praise
