Your thoughts matter
As a school, we always love to hear how you and your family are enjoying learning in our community. Please share this with us!
You are also able to share your views with Ofsted, using their online communication tool - Parent View. It is important that they have a good understanding of our community, so we would encourage you to register using the following link.
Things that you feel we currently do well at Barley Croft:
- You feel that your children are happy and safe at school.
- You feel that your child does well at our school.
- You feel that your child has opportunities to participate in clubs and after-school activities.
Things that you feel we currently need to improve on:
- When you have raised concerns they have been dealt with properly
How will we do this:
- Encouraging you to speak to your child's class teacher to ask questions, or discuss concerns, or to contact the school to speak to a member of SLT (Senior Leadership Team) or DSL (Designated Safeguarding Lead).
- Making sure you have sufficient time at Parents Evening to speak to staff to discuss your child's progress and any concerns you may have.
Since the last survey...
Prior to this survey you asked us to clarify the difference between bullying and bothering and how incidents of bullying or unkind behaviour were dealt with. We addressed this by -
- Holding a parent workshop and explaining our behaviour policy to you - particularly how we as a school define bullying and bothering and how we support all children with this.
- Sending out a parent friendly version of our behaviour policy for you to read
- Encouraging you to speak to a senior leader, at the earliest opportunity, to discuss your concerns.
